Lady BP Leideleng
About us
A local scout group with a long history, a chalet of our own and a love of shared adventures.
For me, for you, for us, for everyone.
We help young people learn to take responsibility for themselves and for others. Everyone is welcome to take part and have a say.
Together, we share experiences, make friends, develop social skills and respect nature. The approach is simple: try things for yourself, take responsibility and grow as a group.
The Amicale: the friends behind our groupOur history
From Merl to the Schwengsweed
Scouting was founded by Lord Baden-Powell in England in 1907. The Luxembourg scout association was founded in 1919; Luxembourg’s guide and scout associations merged in 1994.
Guides were already active in Leudelange between 1976 and 1993. When there were no longer enough leaders, some children joined the scouts in Merl. Lady BP therefore has its roots in the Merl St. Gengoul group. With so many children travelling there from Leudelange on Saturdays, the group moved to Leudelange in 2001.
At first, most activities took place in the Oeuvres paroissiales chalet. In 2010, our scout chalet on the Schwengsweed opened with support from the municipality and the Ministry of Youth.
